corset, skirt structure, bodice and skirt (gown)
Half of these projects were worked on at home, in a studio space I made for myself after classes at CMU moved online due to COVID-19. The verdugado was finished by then and the corset was mid process.

1598 Pair of Bodies, hand done reproduction

This project is a reproduction of the 1598 pair of bodies pattern out of Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion 5. Everything was done by hand. Ribbed silk fashion fabric, plain weave linen linning, reed boning, flattened metal jump rings for eyelet reinforcement, 2 ply silk thread, plain weave silk binging, satin weave silk ribbon for lacing, wooden busk

I set up the dress form out on my porch so my professor could examine it up close during pandemic social distancing.
